Ruby Oliver Series

Review

This is probably the first series that has had me laughing like a hysterical hyena from beginning to end. Out of the three of them, I did like The Treasure Map of Boys the best. Ruby Oliver is my all-time favorite character. She's never too sappy or too unrealistic. It was nice to see her grow and realize what she truly wanted. Her footnotes always found a way to crack me up. I thought they would die down or become dull by the third book but they didn't! There was never a wasted scene in the series where a reader may wonder, "What does that have to do with anything?" The boys, especially Finn and Jackson, feel like they could be the boys in my school. That was the icing on the cake. And now E. Lockhart does it again in the fourth and sadly the last Ruby Oliver novel, Real Live Boyfriend. Oh how I wished all the covers had the same scheme but as long as there's still more Ruby Oliver somewhere, I'm not complaining.
